Conor McGregor Praises Trump on Twitter, Trump Congratulates McGregor on Huge UFC Win

Following his sensational performance at UFC 246 where he knocked out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds using a combination of shoulder strikes and a left high kick, Irish fighter Conor McGregor took to Twitter to praise President Donald Trump.

McGregor replied to a typical tweet by President Trump that celebrated MLK day and praised black unemployment numbers.

President Trump has long pointed to black unemployment as being a harbinger somehow of good things to come for the rest of those struggling in middle America.

“Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA goat,” McGregor said, using a goat emoji in reference to the phrase “Greatest Of All Time.”

“Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet.”

McGregor also said the “incredible” President Trump is “in the early stages of his term” and added, “Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America,” finishing the tweet with the American and Irish flag emojis flanking a heart emojis.

The tweet has received significant backlash online, with woke Twitter hordes adamantly insisting McGregor is “cancelled.”

Given the fact that McGregor’s net worth is estimated at well north of $100 million, and his estimated earnings from UFC 246 alone could reach nearly $80 million, it is unclear whether the “cancelled” tweets will have any effect whatsoever on his life.

President Trump quote-tweeted McGregor on Tuesday, saying, “Congratulations on your big @UFC WIN!”

McGregor has expressed his desire to fight more frequently in 2020, possibly in the welterweight division.
