Democrats Play to Discourage Jordan from Impeachment Hearings

Democrats, fearful of Rep. Jim Jordan’s participation in an impeachment panel meant to remove President Donald J. Trump from office, are pointing to a lawsuit involving a dead physician to deny Jordan’s participation.

On Thursday, forty-three accusers of the former and deceased physician, Richard Strauss, claimed in a lawsuit that Ohio State’s “ingrained culture of institutional indifference enabled their sexual abuse.”  Strauss was found to have sexually abused over 175 students.

Jordan (R-Ohio) at the time was a wrestling coach at the school. Conveniently for Democrats, Jordan is being called out in the lawsuit for stopping the abuse by the dead physician in 1994, twenty-five years ago.

The news of the recently filed lawsuit comes at a time when Republicans were planning on placing Jordan, a vocal supporter of Trump’s, on the  House Intelligence Committee for the public hearings of televised Impeachment testimony.

Democrats and their allied media are reporting that there are two accusers who will testify that Jordan was not sensitive enough and did not single handily, end the physician’s long term abuse of students.

It is unclear why the accusers or any of the parents of the students or other Ohio State personnel did not stop the abuse if it was so widely known.

Jordan is seen as a firebrand and tough opponent.  His direct and focused support of Trump is feared by the heartiest impeachment proponent.

What is more logically a concern of the Democrats, who look the other way on a variety of recent and very corrupt behaviors in their own party without question, is that Jordan will support a President they want to destroy.

The Epoch Times reported earlier in the week, that Jordan said on Thursday, “he doesn’t know the identity of the whistleblower, saying that Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chief of the House Intelligence Committee of the impeachment inquiry, should call the person to testify.”

Jordan, a ranking member on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, said Republicans have been asked to submit a list of their witnesses. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), the senior Republican on the Intelligence Committee, can subpoena a witness with the approval of Schiff, exposing that it is most likely Schiff who is afraid of Jordan aiding to a strong defense of Trump.
