Kathy Griffin Has Been Permanently Banned from Twitter

Hours after new CEO Elon Musk announced that Twitter accounts impersonating other people that are not explicitly listed as “parody” accounts will be permanently suspended, far-left lunatic Kathy Griffin was permanently suspended from Twitter for impersonating the new boss. Griffin — who once held up a severed head of then-President Donald Trump — changed her Twitter name to “Elon Musk” and copied his profile picture, but she did not list “parody” in her bio, prompting the ban.

Musk’s stringent enforcement on impersonation falls in line with his plans to expand Twitter’s verification system. Listed as a current top priority for the company, Musk plans to offer verification and the vaunted blue checkmark to any user willing to verify their identity and pay eight dollars a month.

“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended,” Musk wrote in a tweet on Sunday evening.

“Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning,” the new Twitter boss added. “This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.”

Not long after Musk’s thread detailing the new TOS priorities, left-wing activist and actor Kathy Griffin was permanently suspended. Griffin had changed her Twitter name to “Elon Musk” and updated her profile picture to emulate his.

Kathy Griffin and other Twitter users — including leftist comedian Sarah Silverman actress Valerie Bertinelli — changed their handles to Musk’s name and profile picture in an effort to “prove” that his verification plan was flawed. Silverman and Bertinelli have since reverted back to their real names after Musk’s announcement and the subsequent banning of Twitter.

As news of Kathy Griffin’s banning spread, Musk continued to tweet out his rationale for widespread verification. Beyond increased revenue streams, Musk believes that, “Widespread verification will democratize journalism & empower the voice of the people.”

“Twitter needs to become by far the most accurate source of information about the world. That’s our mission,” he added.

Musk has reportedly instructed remaining Twitter staff to “work 24/7” to get the new verification system running as soon as possible. The Tesla, SpaceX and now Twitter CEO recently fired nearly 50% of the social media giant’s staff.
