On Heels of Trump’s ISIS Defeat, Pelosi Announces Impeachment Vote

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)  announced Monday that she is preparing a resolution establishing the groundwork for the next stage of the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry of President Donald J. Trump.

The announcement came one day after Trump’s victory with the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi by US-led forces and after 35 days of secret hearings in the US House under the leadership of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Pelosi, Speaker of the House, announced that she would call for a vote on Thursday to proceed with impeachment and finally make hearings public.

The impeachment demands by the Democrats have been announced concurrently with U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal probe into the origins of the Democrat-led Russian Collusion Hoax, which failed to entrap and remove Trump from office.

The newest move toward formalizing an impeachment inquiry, now over phone calls Trump had with Ukraine President this past summer,  signals the acknowledgment that Schiff’s secret meetings are problematic for the Democrats over Trump’s due process rights.

Rep. Steve Scalise, (R-LA) charged the Democrats with trying to undo the 2016 Presidential election when Democrats were humiliated by the loss of former Secretary of State, Hillary R. Clinton.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), a close ally to Trump and past Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus,  made a statement on Twitter that Pelosi’s move to make the hearings public was still conflicted for the Democrats because it showed further questionable partisanship.

Member of the House Judiciary Committee, who was denied access to the Schiff meetings, Louis Gohmert, (R-TX)  told Fox News, “The American people will understand that the President is not getting due process in the Democrat secret meetings, and they are not going to like that, even if they don’t like Trump,” he said.

“When you know people have been conspiring against you to get you out of office like the Democrats have done with the claims of Russian interference, you know you can’t trust them to have secret meetings about phone calls,” Gohmert said.

“Democrats are exposing themselves rapidly right now,” he said.
