Louisiana Republican John Kennedy, one of the most reliably conservative members of the U.S. Senate, has released a new campaign ad ahead of election day taking on police de-funders and telling the radical left that if they hate cops so much, to “call a crackhead” the next time they have an emergency.

Senator Kennedy has gone instantly viral, triggering Democrats and Louisiana media alike with his new “call a crackhead” campaign ad. Slamming “woke leaders” for emptying prisons and defunding the police, Kennedy encouraged opponents of the law to “call a crackhead” instead of 911 the next time they’re in trouble.

“Violent crime is surging in Louisiana,” Kennedy says in the new video ad. “Woke leaders blame the police. I blame the criminals. A mom should not have to look over her should when she’s pumping gas. I voted against the early release of violent criminals, and I opposed defunding the police,” Kennedy went on.

As the ad rolls, jaw-dropping statistics exposing Louisiana’s violent crime epidemic flash on-screen before Kennedy gives the anti-law and order left a few words of advice.

“Look, if you hate cops just because they’re cops, the next time you get in trouble, call a crackhead,” Kennedy said.

Senator Kennedy’s “call a crackhead” ad brought on an instant backlash from Democrat politicians and Louisiana’s corporate media outlets.

Gary Chambers Jr, a “civil rights activist” and the Democrat nominee to take on Kennedy in November’s midterms, complained that Kennedy’s ad, which didn’t mention race a single time, was “racist as hell.”

Apparently, Chambers took exception to the display of crime statistics and Kennedy’s use of the phrase “crackhead” in the advertisement.

Contrary to Chambers’ and the Democrat Party’s BLM narrative, the explosion of crime in the state has been driven by Louisiana’s majority-black inner-city population and has led to New Orleans having the highest murder rate in the entire country, beating out the likes of Chicago and Philadelphia.

In response to the criticism from the left and their media allies, Senator Kennedy dug in, with a spokesperson telling WAFB 9 that Kennedy has a long record of fighting crime and has recently secured the endorsement of Louisiana’s top Sheriffs.

“The ad outlines Kennedy’s record of fighting crime, supporting law enforcement, and working to make Louisiana communities safe,” the spokesperson told the CBS station out of Baton Rouge. “Kennedy has an extensive track record of combatting crime and was recently endorsed by the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association.”
