In yet another campaign gaffe, former vice president and Democratic Party frontrunner Joe Biden claimed that the cure for coronavirus will make the problem worse.
While in a televised appearance on The View, the former vice president fielded a question by Sara Haines about President Trump’s repeated statement that the cure for the coronavirus, which for the time being is voluntary quarantine and social distancing, may be worse than the disease.
“Are you at all concerned, as Trump said, that we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself,” asked the host.
Biden quickly responded, “We have to take care of the cure. That will make the problem worse, no matter what. No matter what. We know what has to be done,” said Biden.
“We know you have to, you’re tired of hearing the phrase, you have the flatten that curve, where it’s going up like this, people getting, and the it comes down,” Biden continued. “We gotta flatten that curve.”
The latest campaign gaffe was mocked by conservatives on Twitter.
“Does this make any sense to you,” wrote Breitbart’s Brandon Darby, evoking a series of responses that mocked Biden for this gaffe as well as some of his most notorious from the 2020 presidential election.

“The cure was a bad dude who liked to play with my leg hair. I took him out behind the gymnasium and we had lunch with Nelson Mandela”.

“But the cure kept razors in a barrel of rainwater so they got rusty. Nelson Mandela liked to sit in my lap.”

‘So I set out for Shelbyville with an onion tied to my belt. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ’em. “Gimme five bees for a quarter,” you’d say.’

Another Twitter user, Caleb Hull, noted that Biden, despite urging social distancing and good hygiene, repeatedly touched his face throughout the broadcast.
“During his interview on The View this morning, Joe Biden could not stop touching his face,” wrote Hull. “Even licking his fingers at time on live TV in the midst of a pandemic.”
Hull uploaded a video compilation of the times Biden touched his face throughout the interview.
