One person commented: “Safety first before breaking the law🤦🏽‍♀️ by jumping the turnstyle lol🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣gosh havent taken the subway in forever i miss it rats and all never a dull moment in NYC.”

On Twitter, one user wrote: “You know if he gave a full spray n’ wipe down of all those turnstiles, I’d give him credit for services rendered and call it even.”

While another replied: “You should not wipe down surfaces you’ve used anti bac on, its needs 2-4 min contact time usually.

“This lad knew this, not sure how many lives he has saved by this action, but i’d like to thank him.”

However, not everybody was impressed by the stunt.

“The money he spent on protection he could’ve paid for a two way fair,” one user tweeted.

“We are all going to have autoimmune issues with all this spraying! Geezz,” said another.

The turnstile jumping stunt also became a political talking point.

Pete Harrison, who is running for NY congress, said: “If we pass my #free2move plan and make public transit fare-free, you wouldn’t have to touch anything!”

Others laid into New York, with one person commenting: “Best practices for COVID: Don’t touch the New York. Pretty good practices for most other times as well.”
